Job Summary

This role combines trading operations and business development responsibilities. The successful candidate will be involved in managing trading activities, coordinating with local and international stakeholders, identifying market opportunities, and supporting the development of new business initiatives.

The position offers exposure to regional and international business operations, making it suitable for candidates who enjoy commercial activities, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Trading & Commercial Operations

• Manage import, export, and domestic trading activities.
• Coordinate order management, inventory planning, and logistics operations.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations.
• Monitor sales activities and provide commercial support to business partners.
• Prepare quotations, business correspondence, and trading-related documentation.

Business Development

• Support new business initiatives and strategic projects under the guidance of senior management.
• Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify new business opportunities and growth areas.
• Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and potential partnerships.
• Assist in developing business proposals and commercial strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry contacts.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in trading, sales, business development, supply chain, logistics, or related commercial functions.
• Experience working with international stakeholders or regional business operations is an advantage.
• Experience in industrial products, manufacturing, materials, packaging, chemicals, or related sectors is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
