Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and high-performing Business Development Manager – Partnerships (Korea) to help expand our presence in the South Korean market. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with financial institutions and other distribution channels to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
You will play a key role in building long-term relationships with local partners such as banks, securities firms, insurance companies, and fintech platforms, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure partner success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and onboard new channel partners in Korea, including financial institutions, agencies, and relevant business alliances.
• Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with partners to drive consistent sales performance and market growth.
• Support partners with product training, co-marketing activities, and sales enablement to improve their selling capability.
• Execute channel sales strategies aligned with company objectives to meet monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, legal, compliance, operations) to provide full support for partners.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and channel performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Represent the company at local industry events, conferences, and partner meetings.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of business development activities and sales performance using internal tools.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in channel sales, business development, or partner management in Korea, preferably in financial services or tech.
• Solid understanding of the Korean financial ecosystem (banks, securities, insurance, fintech) and local regulatory environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Korean (native/fluent) and English (business level).
• Self-starter with a hands-on approach, strong business acumen, and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel within South Korea for partner visits and events.
Preferred:
• Previous experience working with Korean financial institutions or local fintech partners.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Korean enterprise communication tools.
• Understanding of local business culture, B2B sales cycles, and relationship- based selling in Korea.
